Changi Trip

After school today, went to Changi with Christopher along with a A200 and D40X for some photo taking. Alighted two stops earlier of OCH, hoping to get some nice shots for the old commando barracks.

Bad idea.

We ended up walking about 10mins inside to the stairs of the main entrance. We were feeders, for the mosquitoes to feed. Bad idea to wear shorts.

I'll let the pictures do the talking then.

Basically, we only went up to second level of the main building, think it used to house patients up there. There were some advanced equipments you wouldn't expect from the 60s'.

We wanted to the bigger green building but it was too dark and it was getting late. Then, we decided to just go up the third level and get done and over with, but we didn't because something happened that freaked me out. Christopher didn't see it.

Yes, it was just two of us. And no, there's nothing much there except evil writings and thrash.

Pictures as Promised!

Okay, so to kill the suspense for everyone, I got myself a Sony Alpha 200. Pretty good, at first I heard many comments that it's not very good plus it was using CCD sensors compared to Canon 1000D's CMOS sensors.

But after taking some shots, I realised that the colours are very vivid compared to others, probably I can make it better as I learn along the way. Here's a picture of the Alpha 200!

Got some new pictures for today's photo shoot at Changi Airport, will post them up the next time round when I have time. For now, here's the shots from yesterday and some of today's.

What can I say? I like Bokeh alot!

My Bokeh Shot

Heh, not trying to prove anything by comparing my shot and Chris's. Today, before I went down to Changi Airport, I went to Sony Style @ Tampines 1 to get a screen protector and saw this young boy under 15 year old, yes he's lower secondary.

He bought a Alpha 200 @ $888. Makes me envy, I never had that kind of privilege when I was young..

Til then!

New Camera!

Woot, finally got my long awaited DSLR thanks to help from WQ, ZH and chris (for tagging along lol).

I can't share the pictures I've taken so far because my card reader can't read the card and I don't have the USB cable for the body. Damn, getting a new piece tomorrow. As for model, I'll leave it to the next body to reveal it!

And here's a nice MV to watch, guess I'm starting to get back to TVXQ.

Holqa Night Cycling

Think a piece of my contact lens is still stuck in my right eye. It kinda tored a little when I was rubbing out the sand that got caught in my eye.

A bit more to go..

Well, week 4 is coming to a close tomorrow. I'm already more than half done with my last 2 modules. I've had better time management this time round and finally NUS isn't all that far-fetched anymore.

I'll probably go up to 3.49 by the end of my studies, just barely making the cut for my preferred courses.

Competitions would be high, I'm taking up as much to make myself as valuable as possible.

I tried to keep it under wraps but somehow ALOT of people knew that I intending was running for IITSC Main Committee though in the end, I didn't run. It was a tough choice, Thomas gave me shit for it.

It would be a high risk gamble, I can't afford any fallup this last 2 semesters. I wouldn't give up my dreams for it. I gave this up and went home receiving good news. I called up my auntie that afternoon and asked her to convince mummy to let me go for the OSIP, she felt that I wouldn't be independent enough to survive alone in another country.

We're not very well-off, even before confirming my trip, I'm already feeling the pinch for my parents for the amount of money they would have to spend for my trip. All that made me want to work even harder.

I believe OSIP would push me up in credentials and I do intend to take up some scandinavian language, if NUS or SMU doesn't want me then I'll go to europe.

Time to focus.

Things to say

I'm supposed to be studying for my MLBI test tomorrow, but I think I'm gonna sidetrack here a little and blog some stuffs.

You know, in life, everyone makes decisions which they regret. Whether is it not taking that job offer, deciding not to go for a meeting or even to take a different bus service.

Ever wished you could reverse all that and hoped that it would change for the better? Guess it's not ideal to stay dwell in the past and just look to the future. Instead of wishing how things could have been, why not consider how things can be.

Maybe if you've made someone angry, just apologise. You lost someone's trust, prove to them that you're a changed person, although once bitten twice shy.

I just got 9 things that I had wished to say but I never really had the chance.

1) It was the best decision in my life, as what I've always thought. I'm glad I took up that offer which led to that decision. Though things weren't always good, I'm just happy that I have something to boost about. Something sweet.

2) Thanks to you, I learnt to put down my ego at the correct times and even got myself further in life. Which eventually led to many wonderful things, I now find motivation in everything I do and I've become a better person.

3) If it wasn't for you, I cannot imagine how my life would be right now. A mess maybe.

4) It's just sad that things had turned out this way, I'm sorry for what I said and did, sometimes we tend to forget and take things for granted. Apparently it did for me and I would live to regret it.

5) You were a mistake but I enjoyed every seconds of it.

6) You didn't blew me away like the previous, but you gave me something to think about.

7) Awesome people, awesome group, awesome friendships and awesome for accepting me.

8) I didn't know what happen, but you did make me upset for a period of time, I didn't have much but I don't blame you. At least, I know I'm way better right now.

9) You're great, I don't deserve you.

There's no indication who those sentences are for, just for the anonymity. Some are pretty obvious, some aren't. Hopefully, you'll know when you see them. Time to move on.

Random Chats

I had these chats with my mates last night, it was damn funny. And it delayed my sleeping time which resulted in me being late for class today. Ugh.

And, I'm addicted to Salad Bar's Dory Fish, but I think I'm geting sick of it already. Oh well, I'll just go back to Design for the Steak then.

We were talking about future spouse.

LOL. Teeming is gay, beware.

Okay, this is quite an inside joke.

Okay, that's all for today. Electives are still kind slack but I didn't do well for my report, oh well. And people, start talking to me. Getting bored here =/

May Day

Labour Day - Is this day a celebration of the work our hardworking workforce has put in for the last 365 days or is a day where we celebrate the noble mums-to-be's big belly?

Doesn't really concern me, it's just another holiday in my calendar. Ignorant, I know.

Just to sum up the week. Work was alright just that at some point I was really busy. School's still slack for now, there are assignments dued but I still have some time to go and I've already started on it a little.

Watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would, pretty good I would say, but I wouldn't say it's a must watch.

Urban Legends - My book for the next 2 weeks

Right.. More stuffs up the next post. That's all for now people, remember to take care, swine flu is spreading and please don't avoid me just because I work at the Airport.
